“Slumdog Millionaire” Anil Kapoor At Humane Society India Launch

Anil Kapoor of Slumdog Millionaire and several others in the entertainment industry were present at the Humane Society International’s launch of the Humane Society India chapter.

The actor, who’s also had a role in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol gave a speech on animal protection at the event.

Actor Eric Roberts has an interview with the Barbie Twins at National Geographic.

The vegan and animal rights activist has one message he’d like everyone to hear, if nothing else.

Here’s what he told The Barbie Twins:

Barbi Twins: Celebrities get to use their platform to convey appropriate messages regarding animal welfare, as Bob Barker did at the end of his show, insisting on spaying and neutering pets. If there was one good message you could send out concerning animals, what would it be?

Steve-O Credits Dogs For Clean Living And Good Health

Steve-O has known for some time that animals don’t belong on his plate.

But the actor recently opened up to US Magazine on how his pets have helped him overcome a serious addiction.

He credits his two rescue dogs, Walter and Bernie, for helping him get sober.

“You know, the way I feel about it, and it might sound a little weird as far as comparisons go, but getting a dog reminds me of getting a cell phone because there’s that overwhelming feeling when I first got a cell phone of ‘How did I ever live without this and what would I ever do if I lost it?'” said Steve-O.

“I feel in one sense very, very honored. But in another sense — this is pretty funny — my dad told me he didn’t care about any of the other people on the sheet of stamps, and he asked me if I could get a special sheet of just my stamp.”

Steve-O, who was featured in PETA’s limited edition set of postal stamps featuring famous vegetarian celebrities.

Bet Steve’s dad put a whole sheet of stamps on the fridge, where the comedian and actor who calls himself the “vegan nerd” stashes “almond milk, Gardein brand fake chicken breasts, and plenty of raw fruits and veggies.”

Tobey Maguire Requests Non-Leather Car During “Great Gatsby”

During the filming of The Great Gatsby, Tobey Maguire was so adamant about sticking to his vegetarian principles, he demanded producers from the movie–set for release in 2013–remove a leather car from he set.

During his stay in Australia, Maguire–who plays Nick Carraway in the film–was given a Mercedes for personal use.
