Los Angeles Festival Of Books Featuring Vegan Cookbook Authors

BabyCakes Covers The Classics

Vegan chefs will take over the stage at the annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Cooking taking place April 30 and May 1 on the campus of the University of Southern California.

The 16 year festival is one of the largest literary events in the country, attracting 150,000 people, including 100 author events and more than 350 authors from around the world.

This year, Veganist author Kathy Freston, The Conscious Cook author Tal Ronnen and owner of BabyCakes restaurants in New York and Los Angeles Erin McKenna will present cooking demonstrations at the festival and sign copies of their cookbooks.

On Saturday, April 30, McKenna will demonstrate making vegan, gluten-free desserts from her cookboook, BabyCakes Covers The Classics from 11:00 –12:00pm.

On Sunday, May 1, Tal Ronnen and Kathy Freston will share a stage between 11:00-12:00p.m.
