Bethenny Frankel is making her way across the country for her Skinny Girl Night Out tour, nights filled with talk about food, diet, health and everything else from the Real Housewives of New York City star, cookbook author and chef.
Frankel has always advocated a heavily plant-based diet even though she’s not a vegetarian, and this weekend she stayed the course by sharing her experiences eating veggie burgers and falafel in Connecticut.
When asked she ended up at lunch in Hartford, Bethenny Tweeted, “Trumbull kitchen.great veggie burger.nice staff.”
After her show in Stamford, she treated herself to Layla’s Falafel.
And how can one eat like Bethenny when traveling through the Constitution State?
Here’s the hummus scoop:
Trumbull Kitchen in Hartford, CT:
Griddled Veggie Burger
The veggie patty is topped with roasted tomato, pickled red onion, tomato basil Cabot cheddar. All burgers, including the Griddled Veggie, come with a choice of side. Our pick: Sweet Potato Fries.
Layla’s Falafels in Stamford, CT:
With a menu devoted entirely to vegetarians, Layla is definitely the girl of the month.
Opt for Falafel Deluxe or Falafel Supreme, depending on if you eggplants or Tabbouleh salad on yours. There’s also the traditional Middle East dishes of hummus, Baby Ganoush and stuffed grape leaves.
Get all of these with the Maza Platter Deluxe. No one says you have to share either.
