New York city’s Fashion’s Night Out will feature some green events, like it did last year when the Stella McCartney store offered vegetarian food.

Vegan cosmetic creator and model Josie Maran will be at the Sephoria’s Fifth Avenue Boutique giving mini makeovers and meet and greets to visitors.

Twilight actress Christian Serratos recently interviewed with New York Beauty Secrets Examiner Gabrielle Long, where she revealed she prefers to keep her beauty collection cruelty-free!

“I mean, there’s still some stuff that I’m trying to like wean myself off of by finishing the bottle and calling it a day with it. Because I found out that some of my favorite stuff either tests on animals, or uses animals. Luckily, a lot of the stuff I already use won’t test on animals, so I lucked out and picked the right things. It’s convenient.”

“I like this new brand Stripped, it has this vegan mineral veil, and I love it. Everything is vegan, even their brushes. Because I don’t like to use any animal products, it’s really hard to find out what is or isn’t. It’s really easy with Stripped because all of their brushes and all their makeup and lipgloss and everything is vegan.”
