Giorgio Armani Honors Martin Scorsese & Leonardo DiCaprio in Shutter Island

Isabella Rossellini took Sundance Channel viewers into the sex lives of spiders, ducks and anchovies with her Green Porno and Seduce Me series.

Rossellini’s shows are designed to entertain and educate, as such was the case with an episode touching on sustainable fish and the problems of overfishing.

Rossellini shares in an interview with Treehugger:

“To myself I called them Green Porno with a Conscience. This was the series called Bon Appetit, and they all start with me preparing delicious risotto with shrimp, or eating fried calamari or eating anchovies on my pizza. And then they stop and there’s a vignette on how they’re made and how they are fished, how actually they are over-fished so that we are depleting our ocean.”

Josh Dorfman "Lazy Environmentalist"

Josh Dorfman "Lazy Environmentalist"

Josh Dorfman just kicked off season 2 of his Sundance Channel show The Lazy Environmentalist where he dispenses tips for those looking to green their lives.

Some obvious, some unconventional, not every piece of green advice is worth giving and if everyone spent hours a day calculating the footprint of every move made, we’d never make it out the door for work.

“We don’t dispense green advice without really evaluating whether it’s worth it,” Dorfman said in a recent interview with Popstar.

One lifestyle change Dorfman does think is worthwhile is adding more vegetarian meals to your diet.

When asked by The Daily Green “What one habit can Americans change to make a difference?” Dorfman answered, “Eat less meat. I’m not saying turn vegetarian, which can be a politically charged word, just don’t eat meat, maybe one day a week. Like adopt a meatless Tuesday. It will save money and make you healthier.”

It may be a lot easier to get an 88-year old woman to eat pasta with no meatballs than to sell her an eco coffin in preparation for her funeral, as Josh tries to do on this season’s show.

Josh also recommends eating organic for the best sports performance, and he attempts to green the national taekwondo championship by converting the champions to a diet of such.

Was the change welcomed or received with a swift kick to the face?

Tune in on Tuesdays at 8PM on the Sundance Channel to find out!

Gwyneth Paltrow Watches Green Porn

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 in Actresses, Environment-Eco-Green, Food & Drink.

Stella McCartney - Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that makes us nervous because Gwyneth Paltrow is probably refining her turkey patty recipes in her otherwise pretty much vegetarian household.

However, Gwyneth is reportedly learning about the effects of the food we eat and the environment, so maybe she will rethink her decision to celebrate with birds that are usually factory farmed and killed in the most painful manner.

How is Gwyneth becoming educated?

Through porn.

From her website, Goop.com (the “SEE” section if you’re into following her ridiculous Goopy plan):

“For comic relief, Green Porno on Sundance Channel is now in its third season of deadpan puppet shows by Isabella Rossellini. I’ve learned a lot more than I want to about reproduction in the animal and insect kingdoms. This season, the third so far, has an especially eco-friendly and equally hilarious bent, showing, in the simplest of terms, where the fish we eat come from and the effect mass fishing has on the environment.”

If you’ve ever wondered how creatures get it on, Isabella gives you all the sexy details, dressing up in costume to reenact the “act.”

Why rent a movie in the adult section when you stay at home with yourself and Isabella?

As Gwyneth stated, Season 3 touches on farmed ocean life and overfishing.

Here’s a link to Isabella’s video on the Anchovy.

Anchovies are on the Marine Conservation Society Fish to Avoid list, so try an extra veggie topping on your pizza next time, pescatarians.

Stars fill the 'Alice and Olivia' showroom for a Fall 2009 Fashion Week Party

Being the handsome vegan man he is, Moby is going to have his stalkers.

The latest obsessive fan is full of more plastic than Hollywood.

This looks like something you might watch during Spike Feresten’s Comedy For Stoners.

A plastic Barbie doll is obsessed with Moby in Cassidy Loves Moby, now playing on the Sundance Channel.

“Here I am,” she says in one episode. “Alone at the airport, chasing after some rock star. He comes to me in my dreams.”

Um, yeah. Many levels of creepiness.

Cassidy appears in various scenes blabbing about how much she is into the musician and in between her love gushes are clips with Moby interviews, quotes from his blog, and his tunes.

But we really need to know more about this doll’s diet before she tries to score with the “Troubles So Hard,” singer. As a healthy vegan, he’ll probably want someone similar.

The clip below shows her on an airplane seat with a package of what looks to be junk food goodies next to her, but little else is given on her diet. Those junk goodies could be bacon flavored.

She drinks bottled water, but that may mean she’s just wasteful and not conscious of the mile high piles of waste those unrecycled plastic bottles are creating in landfills.

Watch below and judge for yourself. Moby material? What the heck did plastic chick eat?
