Irrational vegans hate him. Hardcore vegans are proud to have him in the movement.

Australian cricketer Peter Siddle became vegetarian on the advice of a girlfriend.

His team mates know where he stands and are used to him requesting plant-based food or meals with modifications while on the road or dining out together.

They must respect his diet because he hasn’t earned any derogatory nicknames for it.

But the next time they order out together, he may jokingly be asked if he’s getting the veggie crab dish.

The reference refers to a time when the guys were eating out and Siddle got a surprise in what he thought was a vegetable roll.
