Sunny Obama Adds Female Playmate For Bo The White House Dog (Video)

The Obama family has one new member.
Sunny, a Portuguese Water dog, was born a little over a year ago and arrived at the White House today.
She’ll be keeping the family and staffers company while providing the older dog Bo–who’s also the same breed–a playmate.
Michelle Obama posted one of the first photos of Sunny on Twitter with the message:
“So excited to introduce the newest member of the Obama family — our puppy, Sunny!”
The addition should be good for the Obamas and Bo, as Michelle has told reporters in the past she’s had to host “doggie dates” to allow Bo more interaction with canines.
The dog makes a good match for the family because it does not bring on many common allergic reactions that other dogs do.
Sunny will likely have many of the same First Dog duties as Bo, which in the past have included visiting at the Walter Reed and Children’s National Medical Center and greeting guests at White House events like the annual Easter Egg Roll and other holiday events.
See one of Sunny’s first experiences at the White House below.
