Bethenny Frankel “Naturally Thin” Chili
Written by Vegetarian Star on September 20th, 2012 in Actresses, Authors, Chefs, Food & Drink, Recipes.
Bethenny Frankel is a flexitarian chef and friend to the vegetarian lifestyle. Often incorporating faux meats like Boca Burgers and other plant-based items in her recipes, Frankel’s Mexican chili serves as a good example of how The Real Housewives star can create a dish suitable for all diets.
From her book, Naturally Chili, Frankel writes about this dish, “This is a popular recipe on my Web site. It substitutes ground turkey for the typical ground beef; or you can just skip the turkey if you want a vegetarian version. If beans bug you, you can even leave those out. It will still be good. This chili also tastes great the next day.”
If you choose to leave beans out, you can still pack extra protein into this chili by adding other vegetarian staples like seitan, faux meats, tempeh or tofu.
