Marilu Henner Vegan Grilling Finalist For PCRM On “Live With Kelly”

Marilu Henner is one of two finalist in a summer grilling contest sponsored by Live with Kelly.
Henner is competing to win $25,000 for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a group of doctors and various laypersons recommending a vegan diet for health and animal welfare.
Henner’s Healthy/Easy Grilled Mushroom and Heirloom Tomato Summer Dish is pitted against Ashanti’s Grilled Pineapple Chicken Kabobs.
Results from the contest will be available later this week.
“Portobello mushrooms are a great steak substitute,” Henner says in a clip on Live with Kelly.
The recipes is available on the Live with Kelly website and contains the following ingredients
- Large Container of Organic Mesclun Greens
- 3 Organic Heirloom Tomatoes, (sliced ΒΌ” thick)
- 2 C Organic Green Grapes
- 6 Cloves of Garlic (unpeeled)
- 1/4 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil (divided, plus 1/3 Cup olive oil)
- Kosher Salt
- Pepper
- 1/3 C Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 T Dijon Mustard
- 6 Large Portobello Mushrooms
- Mozzarella-Flavored Cheese
- Grill Basket
