—Chrissie Hynde, on a proposal to bring Nocton Dairies, a mega-dairy farm to Britain. The facility would house several thousand cows in indoor sheds and require each animal to produce 10,000 liters of milk each year, some sources cite as being as much as 43% higher than the national average. Cows subjected to produce large volumes of milk like that is expected at a large farms are more likely to experience medical issues, such as mastitis, an infection in the cow’s udder.
