Stephanie Pratt attended the Best Friends Animal Society Adoption Event this past weekend in Los Angeles at La Brea Tar Pits.
Pratt Tweeted and encouraged everyone to help reduce the millions of pets waiting for homes in shelters.
“If you want to adopt a pet come to the LACMA museum!!! Over 700 animals need homes!!!! I’m here playing w all the dogs
”
If you couldn’t make it to this past weekend’s event, there’s a pet food drive designed to ensure animals in homes of need never go hungry coming up soon.
On November 13, and 14 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m in selected PETCO stores (yes, we know you feel queasy about anything associated with a pet store), pet food drives will take place to help families keep the pets they love in their homes.
Responsibilities of volunteers may include:
- Professionally advocate Best Friends’ positions on all issues
- Greet store customers and explain the goals of the food drive
- Distribute Best Friends materials
- Ask people to sign the adoption pledge
- Thank people for their donations
- Help PETCO staff organize donated food
Remember, in times of need, those who are hungry often have four legs as well as two. For more information and to sign up to help, visit Best Friends.
