3rd Annual

The Foo Fighters made a special guest appearance on Bravo’s Top Chef.

The band presented the elimination challenge to the food teams, which was to prepare a Thanksgiving feast for everybody in their crew, a total of over 60 people, some of which were vegetarian. The winning team would be invited to a concert later that night.

Team “Sexy Pants,” served the Foo Fighters and other judges vegan cornbread stuffing, which went over quite well and was preferred to the other team’s creations.

Check out lots of pictures of “Foo Fighters Thanksgiving.”

“Top Chef” is television series on the Bravo Network where chefs compete against each other in weekly challenges and are eliminated by judges who are professional chefs or otherwise notable people in the food industry.

Paul And Linda McCartney’s Macaroni Turkey

Paul And Linda McCartney

We made it through Thanksgiving, one of the major meaty holidays, but now it’s time to start thinking about Christmas.

May we suggest Paul McCartney’s macaroni turkey?

Paul and his late wife Linda became vegetarians in the 70s. One Christmas, Linda was experimenting in the kitchen, trying to come up with a meat-free dinner.

“We had all the trimmings but we needed something to simulate the turkey,” Paul told the British newspaper Daily Express. “So Linda made macaroni cheese. It was good, then she let it stand so it went solid and I was able to slice it. It kind of worked so we called it the macaroni turkey.”

Sounds like a plan.

Nowadays, when Paul and his daughters are together, they enjoy the Vegetarian Roast, one of the products in the Linda McCartney food line.

JONAS star Nicole Anderson Had Vegetarian Thanksgiving

High School Musical 3: Senior Year Los Angeles Premiere

“High School Musical 3″ star Nicole Anderson, who is set to play Macy Misa in the Disney channel series, “JONAS,” celebrated Thanksgiving vegetarian style. This was her second Thanksgiving without turkey.

Last year, her mom wasn’t prepared for the switch and Anderson had to load up on side dishes.

“I actually turned vegetarian a month before Thanksgiving last year and my mom was not familiar with making special food for me, so I just grazed on mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, biscuits and pecan pie,” she told Just Jared Jr.

This year, mom had more time to learn and pulled off quite a master feast, which included teriyaki marinated tofu and lumpia, which is similar to a spring roll, with Boca Burger in place of beef.

Speaking of vegan/vegetarian Thanksgiving feasts, how did you stuff yourself yesterday? Any unique creations you can share with us?
