New products are being added to her vegetarian frozen food line that include, Vegetarian Mince, Vegetarian Meatballs, and Vegetarian “Chicken” Style Pieces.

It is part of a plan to revitalize the brand and of course, bring more healthy, nutritious options to vegetarians and those who desire to add meatless products to their diets.

The McCartney family, including Sir Paul and daughters Mary and Stella, are reported to be involved with the revitalization which Mary describes as “a very personal project”.

Some items already on the Linda McCartney line include Macaroni and Cheese, Butternut Squash Ravioli, and Spicy Peanut Pasta with Vegetarian Chicken.

A novelist who some have labeled, “The next J.K. Rowling,” is about to release the final book her vampire novel series, The Twilight Saga.

It features a vegetarian vampire Edward Cullen, who is the love interest of a high school girl named Bella Swan. Actually, they’re note technically vegetarian, but call themselves that because they don’t eat humans-what vampires normally do.

Author Stephenie Meyer has gained popularity for her writing and was even featured in Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People For 2008,” with others such as Dalai Lama and George Clooney.

The novel, Breaking Dawn, is set to be released in early August.

Has Vegetarian Batman Gone A Little Batty?

So you’ve probably already heard the news about Christian Bale’s arrest for assaulting his mother and sister. Bale has denied the charges.

With all of the negative press surrounding him lately, we thought we’d take a moment to highlight a more positive face of this actor.

Bale turned vegetarian at age 6 after reading Charlotte’s Web and has been active in numerous welfare groups such as Greenpeace and World Wildlife Fund.

He was quoted once saying:

“My family has always been very interested in animal care and animal rights.  All my pets are from rescue homes so I tend to be aware of these issues.”

Heather Mills Takes Vegan Shoemaker Friend On Vacation

Heather Mills hangs out in NYC

Celebrities aren’t exactly known for packing light on trips and Heather Mills is no exception.

On a trip to Necker Island in The Caribbean, she took a team of 20 people with her, including, personal assistant, security guard, and vegan shoemaker friend.

We’re not sure if the friend is really…well just a friend or if she had plans to have her very own pair of vegan beach flip flops made for every day of the vacation.

It could be worse, though. Oprah Winfrey brings along a bra handler.

Did We Miss Josh Hartnett’s Birthday? Did He Eat Meat During The Black Dahlia?

Giorgio Armani Beauty Hosts A Luncheon For Josh Hartnett

It looks like we did. Oh, well. Happy Belated anyway to the vegetarian actor who’s starred in such films as The Faculty, Black Hawk Down, and Pearl Harbor.

It seems he felt he had to abandon his lifestyle temporarily while filming in Bulgaria because a doctor told him he needed it for the grueling training regime to play a boxer in The Black Dahlia.

An interview with Contact Music:

“It’s all meat, all the time, over there. “I was trying for awhile, but I would work 12 hours and then box for four hours every night. “I was gaunt. The doctor told me, ‘Eat meat.” And that was it.”

Hmm…Not to judge a man on his (belated) birthday, but we do know of many athletes, including Prince Fielder and ultimate fighting champ vegan Mac Danzig, who’ve maintained a vegetarian or vegan diet under grueling physical conditions.

We suppose all devoted fans will let this slide, but we just had to call attention to it.
