Michelle Obama Sesame Street Marxist, Fascist Vegetarian Agenda

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, October 1st, 2009 in Food & Drink, Humor, Politicians, Videos.

Michelle Obama made an appearance with Elmo and other furry friends on Sesame Street, encouraging children to eat and plant vegetables as part of Sesame Street’s 40th year anniversary on air.

Time has chosen to poke fun of Michelle’s green and veggie agenda, describing it as “radical/Marxist/Fascist” and here are a few humorous highlights from the article:

“Sesame Street abounds with animals—a mighty bird, a plump Snuffleupagus—yet no one suggests harvesting this local bounty, as was good enough for the Pilgrims, to provide growing children with protein. What do you have against meat, Mrs. Obama? Why are you trying to force your extremist vegetarian agenda on our children?”

(Insert Our thoughts: Does a free-range Snuffleupagus make it more humane?)

“Also, you know who else was a vegetarian? Hitler! (Unless he wasn’t. But it sounds good.)”

“Finally, you know what else grows in nature? ACORNs! Coincidence? I think not!”

World Leaders Arrive At Downing Street For Dinner Ahead Of The G20 Summit

There’s a lot of hoopla going around the web about Michelle Obama touching the Queen during a recent visit to Buckingham Palace.

We don’t know if there was any touching going on at this particular event, but a dinner where a famous British athlete preferred the veggie option is worth talking about.

Dame Kelly Holmes is a double Olympic gold medalist who has set British records in several middle distance running categories, including 600, 800, 1,000, and 1,500 meters distances.

She recently had lunch with First Lady Michelle Obama to celebrate the G20 summit.

Dame Kelly gave kudos to the vegetarian meal of goats cheese starter and potato dumpling.

We’re not sure if she sampled the meat dishes or if she doesn’t eat meat, but it’s cool she preferred the veggie option!
