Dr. Oz has given OK! magazine some tips for couples that want a lasting relationship.

“The most important thing I can ever say to a married couple is reinvent the relationship every seven years,” Dr. Oz said. “The person you’re married to will change, and so will you. Every couple years, when the biological handcuffs come off that keep us together – the oxytocin and all the chemicals that come together so they can bear children and raise them to five or six years of age — when that chemical wears off, you’ve got to reconnect emotionally.”

He’s also tells how he almost completely messed up with wife of 25 years Lisa when he took her on her first date without learning what her dietary preferences were.

“I took my wife on our first date to Philly Cheesesteak — the big hangout place in Philly, and I didn’t know what a vegetarian meant,” he said. “Her mom made her a vegetarian when she was 12. That was a long time ago. The story of my life, I learned from her.”

Guys don’t learn the hard way Dr. Oz did.

When it comes to choosing the first date spot, it’s always ladies first.

Dr. Mehmet Oz loves his veggies!

In a 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me article in US Magazine, Dr. Oz reveals his favorite vegetable is okra.

He also divulged one of his favorite songs is by John Mayer.

Definitely TMI.

Besides okra, when Dr. Oz goes grocery shopping, he probably picks up other healthy items he recommended to Palm Beach Post, like ginger, yogurt with rich anti-oxidant blueberries, and colorful vegetables, which, according to Oz, the deeper and darker the color, the better.

Are these the items Rocco the meat eating cowboy ate during Dr. Oz’s mandated vegan diet?

Earlier we brought you the news that famed TV doc Dr. Oz challenged a meat loving cowboy to go on a vegan diet.

Rocco took the challenge and 28 days later lost 6 inches from his waistline, lowered his blood sugar from dangerously high 172 to 99 and raised his good HDL cholesterol.

Watch the “after” video of Rocco and Dr. Oz discussing the results.

“I have an eating disorder,” Rocco said. “Nobody’s out to save fat guys.”

“If I can do it, anybody can do it,” Rocco said.

Rocco said he tried meat after his challenge, but it just wasn’t the same.

We hope the new “difference” will help keep Rocco away from the animals for the rest of his long, healthy life!
