Rachael Ray has been known to feature vegetarian love on her website, like the Sweet & Sara Vegan Marshmallows based out of a factory in New York.

Rachael recently featured Surf Sweets jelly bean candy as the “Snack of the Day.”

Surf Sweets are organically sweetened with no artificial coloring or flavoring, are gluten, casein and peanut free and are produced in a factory free of wheat, dairy, soy, eggs, tree nuts, nuts, fish, and shellfish.

Four of Surf Sweets products are vegetarian (Fruity Bears, Gummy Swirls, Jelly Beans and Sour Worms) and three are vegan (Fruity Bears, Gummy Swirls, and Sour Worms).

Only the Gummy Bears and Gummy Worms are not suitable for vegetarian as they contain gelatin.

Gummy, fruity, bears and worms.

Be careful not to get your animals and flavors mixed up!

Moby, George Bush And Jesus Break Veggies Together

24th Genesis Awards - Arrivals

So Moby, George Bush and Jesus are all over at Moby’s house sitting in the living room and George gets hungry.

There really is no punchline to this, just a fantasy of the bald vegan musician he told to Rachael Ray, when he revealed his kitchen is stocked full of condiments and vitamins.

“You know, I think it would be nice to have George Bush and Jesus over for dinner,” Moby said.

What would he serve for the two leaders?

“Well, George spent a lot of time in Texas, so I’d make some rice and beans and salsa, maybe some guacamole,” Moby said. “I’m not a particularly good cook, but I can make reasonably palatable bachelor food.”

Moby’s Mexican fare may need a few miracles before it’s palatable, but it would definitely answer some scholars question of whether Jesus was a vegetarian.

"A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's" Benefit - Arrivals

Rachael Ray threw a food party at the annual South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas.

There are no official vegetarian chefs on the Food Network yet, but thankfully there are several chefs who are highlighting healthier, flexitarian options and incorporating vegetarian recipes into their repertoire.

Ray featured a vegetarian option at the SXSW fest, something she says is normal for any party she caters for.

“I always do a meat, a vegetarian and a poultry item,” Ray told Wall Street Journal.

This year Ray offered vegetarian taquitos that she said were, “really tasty to snack on.”

If you couldn’t make it to SXSW to sample the taquitos, have a festival at home with this Potato Soyrizo Taquito recipe.

Lake Bell Promises Vegan Big Mac If She Makes It Big In America

Written by Vegetarian Star on Friday, March 12th, 2010 in Actresses, Food & Drink.

Special Screening Of "It's Complicated" - After Party

Lake Bell was recently on The Rachael Ray Show where she told the audience not only was she a vegan, but she’s also a foodie who loves to cook.

Not to mention she  made her most shocking confession yet.

She can give Ronald McDonald a run for his money.

“I heard that you make a vegan version of a Big Mac?” Rachael asked Lake.

“Everybody calm down, but it’s true!” Lake said.

Lake promised that if her new HBO series How To Make It In America does well, she’ll go back to the Rachael Ray Show and give everyone the recipe.

You know what that means.

Email your family, friends and neighbors to recruit them to be on the How To Make It In America street team to get the word out.

If everyone loves Lake, all the veggies can get their Big (faux) Mac on.

Rachael Ray Hosts The Burger Bash

Time caught up with Rachael Ray at her burger bash at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, where an “exclusive” chat took place.

“I don’t think I have enough words to declare my love for the burger. I know you always take pains to say hamburgers because you’re a purist. But I think you can make anything you want into a burger. I love tuna burgers, veal burgers, beef burgers.”

Rachael’s no vegetarian, but that’s more burger than even a health conscious flexitarian can handle.

Makes one wonder if any meaty sensational conspiracies were involved.

Vegetarian Star thinks Rachael was interrupted just before she added, “I really, really, really love Texturized Vegetable Protein burgers.”

“Rachael Ray Show” Must Try Foods Of The Year

Couture Cares: A Benefit for Breast Cancer - Inside

The year 2010 is about a quarter ways through, but it’s never too late to make the decision to eat better.

Rachael Ray featured some “must try” foods for 2010, and one item is both vegetarian and meaty.

An oxymoron? Not quite.

Texturized Vegetable Protein, which can mimic both the look and taste of ground beef, could go well with Shirataki Noodles.

The Noodles are low carb, and are made with tofu.

Rachael’s guest said on the RachaelRayshow website:

When they come out of bag, you just have to rinse off the water they come in and just throw them into a big pot of hot broth with whatever garnishes you want. They don’t need to cook, they’re already cooked, and they never overcook!

These foods may very well forecast  a greener, veggier Rachael Ray for the future.

Bethenny Frankel "The Skinnygirl Dish"

Skinny girl dishes or Big Oranges…

Two celebrity chefs have recognized the power of cooking with plants, and it’s time to give them some love!

Bethenny Frankel has always included the veggies in her culinary work, founding the now defunct Bethenny Bakes, which specialized in dairy, egg-free and gluten free goodies.

Besides giving veggie burgers and vegan mayonnaise the shout out, Bethenny has included tips for turning the recipes in her latest book, The Skinnygirl Dish, vegetarian.

Rachael Ray finally got on board a year ago and included an entire chapter of vegetarian recipes in her Big Orange Book cookbook and featured a dessert with vegan marshmallows on her website.

She still runs in the opposite direction when approached by a vegan, though.

Between the two chefs who sometimes put a sprinkle of herbivore happiness in their otherwise meat based cuisines, who would you rather…

Martha Stewart “The Rachael Ray Show” Why Alexis Went Veg

Martha Stewart on Rachael Ray Show

Martha Stewart on Rachael Ray Show

Martha Stewart was set to appear on The Rachael Ray Show today to dispel rumors the two are kitchen divas in competition and discuss both of their love for cooking.

Topics of discussion included Martha’s favorite type of music (rap, yo) and why her daughter Alexis Stewart, is a vegetarian.

“Well what I think one of the catalysts was, we raised our own livestock and we had these sweet little lambs,” Martha explained. “And one day I decided Plantagenet was gonna go, and so I served Plantagenet for dinner, and I told my husband and my daughter that the rare pork chops were cooked perfectly in the French style. And Alexis looked at me and said this is not pork this is Plantagenet isn’t it? That was one reason.”

And no wonder Martha invited Snoop Dogg to her show to make mashed potatoes.

“Oh I like rap! I like rap, we play rap. When you come to the show, you’ll see. You’ll see! Oh yeah. Rap is fabulous, and it’s the liveliest thing for the audience… Rap is big!”

So when is Martha getting jiggy with the tofu like her daughter?
