He Should Have Gone Vegan a Long Time Ago:
“Oh my God, if I was a vegan when I should have done this thing, man? I remember when I became a vegetarian and my game changed. I couldn’t imagine if I was a vegan back when I was playing. The thing about the NBA, any pro sport, is, guys don’t know how to take care of their body.”

“I was eating cheese and fish and drinking milk. At Thanksgiving, I was eating fried turkey or lobster or shrimp. That’s not a vegetarian. A vegetarian eats vegetation. … Even though fish comes out of the ocean, it’s not a vegetable. If you’re a vegetarian you only eat things that are vegetation or made from vegetation. February is Black History Month and a great time to not only celebrate civil rights, but highlight the dozens of black community leaders, celebrities and other famous persons who either follow or have followed a diet and promote animal rights as well.

The Reverend Al Sharpton, who once weighed over 300 pounds, found following a mostly vegetarian diet helped him lose over 100 pounds.
