“Cupcake Wars” Vegan Friendly Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes (Video)

This weekend’s episode of Cupcake Wars is once again turning the spotlight on a vegan-friendly bakery.
Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes was started in 2011 by Rachel Young of Olympia, Washington.
The bakery offers vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free cupcakes at request in a variety of flavors, including Chocolate Raspberry, Chocolate-Vanilla Swirl, Coconut Lime and Blueberry Lemon.
Young and her mother will be baking alongside each other, vying for the big $10,000 grand prize and the chance to baker for an LA Bridal event.
Good baking skills seems to run in the family.
During the audition tape for the Food Network reality TV show, Young’s mother explains that her mother also was a great chef and the inspiration behind Rachel giving the bakery the Moffett name after her.
Rachel says she is also inspired by gluten-free bakers in general, including a previous contestant on the show who baked gluten-free. She feels making these desserts is like giving a gift to the people who cannot tolerate the protein.
