Natalie Hynde Follows Mom Chrissie Footsteps With Fracking Activism

Don’t get her wrong…Natalie Hynde is a lot like mother and rocker Chrissie Hynde when it comes to standing up for her passionate beliefs about the environment.
Natalie has made the news this week for her arrest for protesting fracking in the English village of Balcombe.
Mom Chrissie is no stranger to similar treatment, as she’s had similar interaction with the law for her animal rights protests.
Like mom, Natalie is also a dedicated vegetarian.
In an interview with London’s Evening Standard, she said:
“I’m sure my mum did affect me. I always remember that awareness being there and feeling very right.”
“I’m going to try to get my parents down here (to the protest site). My mum and dad both work hard to pay the bills, but they’re proud and supportive of my activism. I sent my dad a link to dangersoffracking.com and he replied, ‘I’m in shock.'”
Fracking is a process that releases natural gas from high-pressure water and sand drilling. Many experts believe this practice leads to water contamination and poses a risk to air quality.
