Avril Lavigne‘s foundation, The Avril Lavigne Foundation, has partnered with the Race to Erase MS, an annual fundraising gala for Multiple Schlerosis.
Lavigne would like to eradicate many diseases, including those that may be prevented with diet and exercise.
She shared her secrets for healthy eating in a recent interview with WebMD.
When asked what her favorite health habit was, Lavigne responded, “I like to cook vegan,” with pizza being the only occasional indulgence.
She loves cooking Italian and salads, both on the road and at home. She also enjoys cooking with her Crock-pot, which she successfully created a pea soup in.
“Helping to raise awareness about MS and continuing the conversation to educate people about this disease is what is most important,” Lavigne said.
“MS is a disease that affects the whole family, not just a person. It affects twice as many women as men and there is no cure. Also, it is not contagious! MS is a random disease, but there is some research that shows there is a higher risk in some families.”
