How did you celebrate your Thanksgiving sans turkey?
One more alternative to serving meatless entrees on the November holiday is volunteering your time at an animal shelter or even a turkey sanctuary if you live near one.
Pamela Anderson was reported to have spent time again this year at the Gentle Barn Sanctuary, feeding delicious cranberries to turkeys.
“There’s no need to eat turkey,” Anderson said. “You don’t eat your friends.”
“I like what the people at Gentle Barn do in rescuing animals from slaughterhouses.”
