Dr. Oz Audience Member Choose Veggie Burger From Buffalo Wild Wings

Dr. Oz had a nice discussion on the American habit of burger consumption on a recent episode of his daytime television show.
Oz said Americans eat an average of 150 burgers a year or the equivalent of three a week!
Even if you’re not willing to give up all three of those, Oz has a few suggestions for replacing at least one of those with one of his recommended veggie ones.
Oz allowed one member from his audience to sample several burgers served at fast-food chains, some of which were vegan.
The audience member chose the Spicy Black Bean Burger from Buffalo Wild Wings, a meatless patty with only 340 calories but still providing 18 grams of protein!
If you’re going to Buffalo Wild Wings with your chicken wing loving friend, you have more to choose from than salad, but be warned. Unfortunately, like many eateries that don’t specialize in vegetarian options, this one is somewhat hidden.
Not a stand-alone item listed on the menu, the patty is advertised with the fine print statement of, “Substitute a BLACK BEAN BURGER patty upon request.”
At least they’re trying.
The next time you’re there, give it a try. And give Buffalo Wild Wings a nice suggestion to list it among their other burgers.

I ate at Buffalo Wild Wings yesterday evening. I was informed by the manager that the black bean patties are not a vegetarian option as they have beef in them. Has anyone heard anything about this?
