Mary McCartney On “BBC Women’s Hour” With Chili Jam Suggestions
Written by Vegetarian Star on May 31st, 2012 in Audio, Authors, Chefs, Food & Drink.
Mary McCartney was a guest on BBC’s “Women’s Hour” where she made a dish with rice noodles and vegetables.
Mary uses chili jam, a favorite condiment that’s included in many of her other recipes in her new cookbook, Food. Though prominent in the UK, it may be difficult to obtain elsewhere, so Mary gives a few substitute suggestions.
“If you don’t have chili jam–it’s a thicker version of chili sauce–you can use chili sauce. And if you don’t want chili sauce, you can get fresh chili and chop that up or you can even use a pinch of chili flakes.”
