Alicia Silverstone has teamed up with Juice Beauty, a cosmetics company that specializes in natural and organic ingredients, to create a line of beauty products for the skin and lips.

Silverstone didn’t just agree to put her name and face behind the product. She actually took part in the testing process.

“I am a smell person,” Silverstone said. “So, I was looking for a super yummy smell. I did so many smell tests, it was pretty funny. The texture is really important to me, too, and, obviously, the performance, but I was pretty confident in the combination of ingredients. There is the clinical part of making it work on your skin. Once that part is handled, the fun part is the smell and the texture.”

Silverstone put a lot of effort into the “smelling tests” as it took two years to create Purely Kissable Lip Color, Irresistible Glow Facial Highlighter, Simply Flawless Pressed Powder, Simply Nourishing Moisturizer and Simple Pure Chamomile Cleanser.

Silverstone, a vegan and environmentalist, was the perfect choice to represent the brand, given her commitment to living such an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Juice Beauty does not conduct tests on animals and formulates products without the use of harsh chemicals like parabens, petroleum, butylene or propylene glycol, PEG, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, phthalates, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances.
