Matthew Morrison Gives The “Details” Of His Sweet Potato Diet

Matthew Morrison is showing off his ripped abs for Details magazine and revealed to the U.K. Sunday Mirror his favorite way to shape up for a sexy shoot like this one is to pile on the sweet potatoes.
“The potato acts as a sponge and your body literally shrinks and gets ripped and tight,” Morrison said.
For three days straight before taking off his shirt for the magazine, Morrison said he ate nothing but sweet potatoes.
According to the results of one self-experiment done by the Idaho Potato Commissioner (cool job title and yes, it does exist), eating nothing but white potatoes for an entire month may lead to weight loss while still feeling good and looking great. We would still recommend pairing the potatoes with some faux meat though.
Although he’s no public veggie like some of his other Glee co-stars like Lea Michele, we’re glad Matthew knows real men eat the veggies like sweet potatoes that are packed with beta carotene, which is converted to Vitamin A in the body.
If you’re going to eat sweet potatoes for a few days, at least kick up the variety a little and consume them in the form of recipes like Miso Soup With Sweet Potato Dumplings or Sweet Potato and Avocado Sandwich With Poppy Seed Spread.
