BabyCakes Covers the Classics: From Donuts to Snickerdoodles. It’s the New Cookbook!!! from BabyCakes NYC on Vimeo.

There’s mediocore food porn in the form of still color photos. Then there’s mind-blowing food porn featuring lights, camera and a lot of chocolatey, sugary action!

Erin McKenna has posted this clip to her blog, giving fans a glimpse of the treats she’s included in her new cookbook, BabyCakes Covers The Classics, which will be released next month.

The owner of both BabyCakes New York and BabyCakes Los Angeles has included the origins of vegan donuts, waffles, mounds, and madeleines, from folding the batter to drizzling the icing to sprinkling the nuts and crumbs on top.

Bones vegan actress Emily Deschanel said this of the mounds bars: “I first heard about the elusive BabyCakes “Mounds” bars on a stick from a friend who said they were incredible. One day, I tasted them… Like heaven… I bought them for my crew at work on Bones and people came back for seconds and thirds…I even had them at my wedding. Now you don’t have to wait to try them; you can make your own!”

Recipes from BabyCakes Covers The Classics are gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and sugar-free.

Besides donuts, waffles, mounds, and madeleines, classic  deThin Mints, Snickerdoodles, S’mores and cakes are included in the 144 page collection.
