Quantcast Vegetarian StarElizabeth Hurley’s Breakfast Statement Leaves You Hungry For Medical Truth

Elizabeth Hurley has made herself famous for her fantastic statements and gestures of health for people and animals.

As Borat would say, “NOT!”

From her “healthy” organic dinners containing meat, to admitting her love for beef jerky and other processed meats, and revealing too much information about sex on a dead animal by the fireplace, she never seems to impress. Lately, she’s mouthing off on Twitter about how breakfast isn’t necessary for adults, even if the doctors say so.

“My diet survived the onslaught of phenomenal vacation food. Doctors disagree, but I swear by almost nothing for breakfast for adults,” Hurely Tweeted, according to My Fox NY. “Mugs of hot water first thing, maybe an espresso and a few oat cakes mid-morning.”

Naturally, her statements were attacked by nutritionists, who argue that after a good night’s sleep,  your body’s blood sugar is so low, it could eat a whole sugar cane field.  But it’s better to feed it complex carbs instead of simple sugars to prevent eating Hurley at dinnertime.

“By breakfast time, most people haven’t eaten for about 10 hours — blood sugar is low and so your body really needs the energy that breakfast provides before you start your day,” said Dr. Laura Wyness, senior nutrition scientist at the British Nutrition Foundation. “People who eat breakfast seem to find it easier to maintain a healthy body weight. It is likely that breakfast will stave off mid-morning hunger pang.”

Why not start your day off tomorrow with a veggie friendly breakfast, like Tofu French Toast?
