Kesha Speaks On Why She’s Vegetarian

Written by Vegetarian Star on July 20th, 2010 in Female Singers, Food & Drink.

Kesha

What is the symbol for vegetarian?

Whatever it is, Kesha (Ke$ha) is going to have to add that to her already complicated stylized name because she’s coming clean to the media about her animal-free diet.

When asked by the Phoenix New Times why she is vegetarian, Kesha responded, “I just love animals, and I’m an advocate for animals rights, and my family has rescued dogs from all over the world. I don’t believe in animal testing. If you see me in fur, it’s always fake. Sometimes you see me wearing skulls, but those are all from roadkill.”

Should have known that anyone who donates 1,000 pounds of food to shelter animals might find it hard to separate her own pet from a cow or chicken.

The article says: “Should have known that anyone who donates 1,000 pounds of food to shelter animals might find it hard to separate her own pet from a cow or chicken.”

Hum… Well there’s actually not much difference between a cow and cat. The only difference is coming from culture: society made a difference between animals you eat and pets, when actually a cow can definitely be a pet. And look in China, they eat cat. It’s just a sociocultural distinction.

I am a Vegetarian By Choice, like many others on this beautiful planet. Of course my reasons are purely environmental and have nothing to do with religion, health, compassion from animals etc.

Well, I love animals but that I do not think is good enough reason to be a vegetarian. I love plants equally well and if love for animals would make me shun meat, then love for plants should make me shun veggies. And then what would I eat?

I think we vegetarian have to adopt another approach to get meat eaters give up meat – and that approach is environment. One must be a vegetarian for environmental reasons. Human beings were not designed to eat meat. And in their quest to eat meat, they are screwing up the environment and we will one day end up as fossils just as the great dinosaurs did more than 100 million years ago.

If you love animals you don’t eat them. You can see them suffer when you kill them I’ve never seen a plant suffer. Plants don’t have a nervous system. Take a plant near fire or cut it and you don’t see any reaction to the pain. LOL people and the plant argument! But environmental too 🙂

So in love <3 with Ke$ha for this! And cats, dogs, cows , pigs, chickens are all the same anybody can see that before society tells them otherwise 🙂 Glad I stopped eating my cousins in fur and feather!
