“Amp Up Before You Score” iPhone App Helps Guys Get Vegan Gals

On one hand, it is possibly the most sexist piece of technology on the market to date.
Then again, it puts vegan gals on the top list of desired ladies men need to get the 411 on to get a date.
In an effort to push AMP Energy Drink, Pepsi has released an iphone application called Amp Up Before You Score, designed to teach guys about several types of women before making the move.
“Let’s say you meet a girl who’s way into being green. And you need a vegan restaurant. Stat. We’ve got you covered.”
The company Tweeted a statement, offering an apology for potential offensiveness.
“Our app tried 2 show the humorous lengths guys go 2 pick up women. We apologize if it’s in bad taste & appreciate your feedback.”
Hey. Maybe that poor tool looking to score with a vegan girl will find the food enjoyable and stop eating so much meat.
Several other girl types the iapp helps with are the Bookworm, The Indie Girl, and the Cougar.

High-larious!
This definitely shouldn’t be taken seriously, but it’s funny as hell.

LMAO! The app should give tips on what “vegetarian” vs. “vegan” too if the guy really wants to score points. 🙂

This is a great example of what NOT to do!
I actually think it’s a cute idea, but goes horribly wrong as Pepsi attempts to tie in social media, encouraging men to “share” their triumphs with each other on their social networking sites.
Also interesting that they divided women into 24 categories… I can think of one category in specific for the guy who came up with this…
I’ve posted more about the app here: http://bit.ly/yX1gb
