Crystal Bowersox has revealed more details of her eco-friendly wedding to People. Besides wedding in a cotton and hemp gown and patronizing a vegan friendly bakery that uses local and organic ingredients, Bowersox and her fiance, Brian Walker opted not to use traditional diamond rings to avoid supporting the unethical, bloody side of the industry.
“There are no diamonds to be found as we don’t believe in the violence and injustice that occurs within the diamond trade industry,” Bowersox told People.
