Moby has made a comeback in the vegan restaurant world like a one hit wonder 80s band makes a comeback in 2015.
Okay, so Teany was more than a one hit wonder.
But vegans in the LA area will still appreciate that the long pause between his business endeavors has ended.
His new restaurant, Little Pine, located near his home in Los Angeles, will feature a variety of delicious entrees and be a completely relaxed environment with one important rule:
No Moby music allowed!
Moby told Instyle:
“I have some really strict music rules, and one of them is that my music will never be played. I want the focus to be on the food. I also don’t want the music to ever be louder than a conversation, because it drives me crazy when I go to a restaurant and the music is so loud that you can’t talk. Also, no loud techno, hip-hop, or metal—they’re not nice to listen to when you’re trying to drink a glass of organic red wine and eat a nice vegan dish.”
The rules for the menu include items like a vegan cassosulet, one of the music star’s favorite dishes while living in France. He’s perfected his tomato-based version by experimenting with combinations of vegan sausage, polenta and breadcrumbs.
