Super Bowl season just wouldn’t be the same without Puppy Bowl!
The 10th annual event featuring four-legged stars performing victory dances on hind legs will take place on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET/PT on Animal Planet.
The event is meant to showcase some of the best pups from shelters across the country as well as give pet-friendly brands a time to shine in some of the advertising slots.
This year’s guest include the U.S. First Lady and the Obama’s two Portuguese water dogs.
There will be a very special performance by Keyboard Cat, who will be mixing his best jams in a halftime show that features kittens dancing to Bruno Mars’ “Locked out of Heaven.”
“As the Super Bowl is to network TV, the Puppy Bowl is to Animal Planet,” Marjorie Kaplan, Animal Planet’s network’s president, said.
Who needs cheerleaders in cute, skimpy outfits or lip syncing performers, both of which run the risk of FCC fines for wardrobe malfunctions?
