Colbie Caillat has an interview with Radio.com on the pros and cons of being a vegetarian singer on the road.
While it’s easier to find food almost anywhere in the world today than it was a decade ago, it still can be a struggle.
“It can be challenging, you don’t get to eat the foods you normally eat at home,” Caillat said. “You can’t cook. You’re on a bus with tons of people and different cities every day living out of a suitcase. It’s a lot of wear on your mind and body.”
The I Do singer says that although it may sound mundane, she’s quite fond of the popular vegetarian staples of soup and salad.
They’re two dishes she finds comforting on the road.
“People think it’s boring, but honestly when you get used to it it’s great.”
Watch the video for her entire speech on veggies.
