Mayim Bialik has already shared what might pop up on her vegan Jewish Thanksgiving dinner table, her Thanksgivukkuah.
Now’s she discussing her passion for animal rights and more motivations behind her preference for plant-based dishes with Parade magazine.
Turkeys are incredibly intelligent animals,” she told publication. “And I know they are not cute and cuddly like other animals. I like to root for them.”
Bialik mentions her support for one of the largest and well-known animal sanctuaries in the United States, Farm Sanctuary and the two cats that make an addition to the family.
She discusses her upcoming cookbook, Mayim’s Vegan Table: 100 Great-Tasting and Healthy Recipes from My Family to Yours, which is due out in February 2014 and gives two sample recipes from it, Quinoa Salad with Veggies and Herbs and Pecan Pie Truffles.
