Nikki Reed Hosts Baja Animal Sanctuary Fundraising Event

Twilight actress Nikki Reed was the host of the first annual “Friends Across The Border” event for Baja Animal Sanctuary.
The sanctuary is northern Mexico’s only no-kill animal shelter.
Friends Across the Border took place at West Hollywood’s Nine Zero One Salon where guest enjoyed food from Cibo Verde and beverages by Caliche Rum while bidding on items to benefit the shelter.
The silent auction featured items in fashion, beauty, accessories and other lifestyle products from companies such as Juicy Couture, Forever Living Products, Pilates Plus, SodaStream, Soul Cycle and tickets to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Baja Animal Sanctuary was founded in 1997 by Sunny Benedict. It is located is Rosarito, Mexico, 23 miles south of the San Ysidro border.
Over 400 dogs and cats make the sanctuary their current home and in 2012, it placed 276 dogs and 42 cats in homes in the United States.
