Robin Quivers was a recent guest on The Wendy Williams Show.
The radio talk show host was there to discuss her cancer recovery, the struggles that took place during the uphill battle and the foods she wrote about in her vegan cookbook, The Vegucation of Robin, that gave her energy during the entire ordeal.
“These things happen to anyone and we don’t know why they happen,” Quivers told Wendy.
“I had avoided everything I could avoid and the beautiful thing was because I was so healthy this didn’t kill me.”
Quivers stayed healthy by following the vegan diet she adopted in 2007, which also helped her lose almost 100 pounds.
Out of all the things related to a vegan diet that would be hard to master (ingredients, substitutions), Quivers never thought the title of her book would be one of them. She congratulated Wendy on the pronunciation before further explaining her motivation behind the switch.
“The whole point of the vegan diet was that I wasn’t feeling well awhile back. Back in 2001, I was really sick.”
“I went on a search to find out why and what I could do about it and I discovered a connection between how I was eating and how I was feeling.”
In other words, Quivers got vegucated.
