Pamela Anderson and PETA vice-president Dan Mathews will be participating in New York’s 10th annual Advertising Week. The two will serve on a panel to discuss how the animal rights group’s eye-catching and often provocative displays about vegetarianism and cruelty-free fashion choices have helped it raise awareness on animal welfare.
“Extreme Marketing: PETA’s Unconventional, Enduring Presence in Pop Culture” will take place September 24 of 4 p.m. at the Hard Rock Cafe at 1501 Broadway (between 43rd and 44th streets) in NYC.
Anderson will screen her “Cruelty Doesn’t Fly” video, a parody of airport security that requires every potential passenger be stripped of animal skins before boarding the plane.
A brand new ad designed by BBDO that is narrated by Adrien Brody and discusses the plight of chimpanzees in the entertainment industry will also be screened.
