Ellen DeGeneres To Host Oscars Again

Veggie Ellen DeGeneres will once again be the host of the Oscars ceremony.
The talk show host, comedian and animal welfare advocate was the host for the 2007 awards as well.
She’s already got her acceptance speech prepared, and she used her Twitter account to practice.
“It’s official: I’m hosting the #Oscars! I’d like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra,” she Tweeted.
Whether she’ll use the platform to crack a few vegan jokes here and there during the evening, is still unknown.
DeGeneres’ role as host is part of a larger move that’s swept the Oscars putting females in charge of the show.
This year, Cheryl Boone Isaacs became the third woman in history to head the academy in its 86 years.
There are currently 14 women elected to the board of governors, one of them serving as CEO.
