“Cupcake Wars” To Feature Vegan Friendly “The Cakabakery”

Who says vegan cupcakes are out of this world?
This Sunday’s episode of the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars will friendly a vegan-friendly bakery in the space themed challenge that has the winner baking for the Space Shuttle Endeavour’s induction ceremony into the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
Jason Kakabaker of Michigan based The Cakabakery caught the network’s attention with a vegan cupcake he received an award for creating.
No stranger to vegan baking, about 20% of the custom orders Kakabaker receives are for gluten free or vegan products.
Kakabaker hints that some of the flavors he’ll be baking are centered around the theme of “flight.”
“Cape Canaveral is in Florida so we wanted something with citrus and we used a chocolate merlot flavor to represent congratulations for a successful return home to Earth.”
Cupcake Wars airs this Sunday at 8:00 PM on the Food Network.
