Carrie Ann Inaba Gives Cats A Purrfect 10

Carrie Ann Inaba has always had a fondness for cats.
She shares this with the Humane Society of the United States in its May/June 2013 issue of All Animals Magazine.
Her first cat was a stray she picked up while working as a dancer on In Living Color in the nineties.
Years later she’s invited two more cats into her home and has co-created and hosted a web series on finding homes for special needs cats.
“I think that cats are underappreciated,” she told All Animals. “A lot of people fear them because if a cat doesn’t like you, he lets you know. Dogs tend to be a lot more trusting.”
The fact that her cats both like and trust her is an accomplishment she holds as high as the ratings she gives to the celebrities with the best footwork on Dancing with the Stars.
“Just raising my animals the best way I can,” Inaba said of her most prideful moment in working with and championing for animals. “Being a mom to them. I’m very fortunate. I’m in a really good place in my life, and I think a lot of it was from making the commitment to my animal work. I’ve found my place in this world.”
