Quantcast Vegetarian Star“Cupcake Wars” Features Vegan Friendly Maddy’s Fatty’s In North Carolina

Cupcake Wars

Cupcake Wars recently featured the North Carolina based vegan friendly bakery Maddy’s Fatty’s.

Madeline Baucom and her sister-in-law Enza Friedman came in second on the episode that honored the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless and its 10,000th episode.

The challenge was to bake 1,000 cupcakes for a party celebrating the milestone.

The bakery’s name was inspired by a few mean nicknames Baucom received for being a little chubby as a child.

Nowdays she’s lean, fit and looking great.

Maybe it’s thanks to those healthier desserts she creates that include vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free and the creatively named “not so fatty” options on Maddy’s Fatty’s menu.

Maddy’s Fatty’s offers animal-free cookies, muffins, cakes, cupcakes and brownies. There is also a variety of gluten-free breads and rolls.

And with hip names like Butter to the Nut and Espresso My Love, Maddy Fatty is no longer the kid anyone would make fun of. But if you like your pastries on little on the round side, try the Chubby Hubby or the Fat Elvis.

The pair has added the Cupcake Wars menu to the bakery’s selection, featuring the pastries from the show that include the Cheddar Habanero Crisp, A Very Rocky and Bumpy Road, Strawberry Chocolate Seduction and Gluten Free Escaping Death.
