Fiona Apple Cancels Tour To Be With Sick Dog

Fiona Apple is a devoted pet lover and has chosen to spend time with her longtime pet instead of going on tour.
“I will not be the woman who puts her career ahead of love and friendship… I can’t come to South America. Not now,” Apple said of her 13-year old pit bull.
Apple’s dog has struggled with Addison’s Disease and a chest tumor for the past two years. The conditions require frequent injections, which make it very difficult to travel with her pet.
The dog, who Fiona describes as being, “the most consistent relationship of [her] adult life,” was rescued in a park in Los Angeles as the age of four months old.
