Lady Gaga Meat Dress In “Women Who Rock” Exhibit

Lady Gaga‘s meat dress will be preserved a little longer than beef is in your stomach at the “Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power” exhibit at the National Museum of Women and Arts.
The exhibit is meant to highlight women in rock music who’ve also struck the rights cords in humanitarian issues, such as women’s rights.
The event is a nice tribute to female rockers, but while we’re on the subject of being pro-woman, it’s best to touch on the fact that a diet consisting of what Gaga has worn on several occasions is about as far backwards as blocking ladies from voting.
Cardiovascular disease is said to kill more women than cancer. And while diet high in saturated animal fats, such as those found in meat products has been linked to heart disease, there is evidence a diet of grains, legumes and other lean plant-based proteins can prevent and may even reverse heart damage.
Some of the most well-known women who rock vegetarian are Joan Jett and Chrissie Hynde.
Women who rock are great, but they’re a lot greater when they rock without meat. And following a plant-based diet may help them rock longer.
