Kellie Pickler “The Chew” Garden Veggies And Animal Welfare (Video)

Kellie Pickler was a guest on The Chew today where she shared her memories of watching her neighbor can vegetables from her backyard garden, substituting vegetarian ingredients for animal ones and her experiences volunteering on an elephant sanctuary.
“We used to make tomato dumplings with the canned tomatoes. Instead of the chicken, you use home-grown garden tomatoes,” Pickler said.
Sounds like Pickler was enjoying vegetarian foods even before she made the decision a few years to adopt the diet.
“I went to this place called the Elephant Sanctuary where they rescue elephants from horrible situations where they’ve been abused and mistreated,” she said.
“It’s where they can live and not be treated like a circus animal.”
