Jake Shields has been a lifelong vegetarian, who, like many looking to improve upon their diet and health, has gradually incorporated vegan meals into his diet.
The MMA fighter revealed during an interview that one of the biggest issues he has with the diet is finding the right protein supplement.
That is, until he discovered Sun Warrior.
“I am a vegetarian, and mostly vegan; I am not strict on the vegan, but I try to eat a mostly vegan diet,” Shields said. “It gets tough using protein, because a lot of them use whey, not to mention a lot of chemicals and all kinds of stuff I don’t like putting in my body. Sun Warrior got in touch with my manager, and said they had a product out to try. It’s great. It’s all vegan, and doesn’t have a bunch of additives I don’t want in my protein. I started using it, and it is all I have used ever since.”
Several other MMA fighters have taking a liking to Sun Warrior’s plant-based protein products, including Ken Stone, James Wilks, Mike Caulo, Myles Jury, Jeremy Stephens and Dustin Porier.
Sun Warrior carries a Warrior Blend, Classic Protein, Ormus Supergreens, Activated Barley, Liquid Light and Immune Shield.
The plant-based protein blends contain raw pea, raw cranberry and raw hemp protein, and raw sprouted and whole grain rice proteins.
