Roberto Martin “Vegan Cooking For Carnivores”–DeGeneres Chef Pens Book

Roberto Martin, Ellen DeGeneres‘ personal chef and the man that’s enticed viewers of her show with tasty meatless dishes like Thanksgiving Seitan Roast, Spring Rolls and Vegan Tacos, has published a cookbook with a title that suggests he’s out to convert a few hamburger lovers.
Vegan Cooking for Carnivores promises “125 recipes so tasty you won’t miss the meat,” but offers much more than lists of ingredients.
Both members of the couple he cooks for have contributed their vegan experiences to the book. Ellen’s wife, Portia de Rossi, has written the foreward while DeGeneres has provided the afterward.
“Instead of making vegan food, he made food vegan,” writes de Rossi.
Glossy photographs of food are distributed between recipes for breakfasts, lunches, soups, appetizers, pastas, pizzas and more.
Perhaps one of the most handy parts of the book, a reference guide for brand name vegan foods, is included in Vegan Cooking, along with a section on pantry staples and cooking utensils and techniques.
