Vegetarian or not, breakfast usually isn’t terribly exciting for anyone.

But if cold cereal seven times a week or the occasional burnt toast isn’t doing it for you, why not try this unique alternative to oatmeal–brown rice with soy milk and fruit.

Bethenny Frankel is raising her daughter as vegetarian, so in the next few years, this may be what goes into Brynn’s bowl every morning before school.

Frankel throws dried fruit into this bowl and tops the creation with sliced nuts and cinnamon.

Eating brown rice may give you multiple health benefits, including cardiovascular protection,  weight maintenance and antioxidant power.

Most importantly, this bowl sure beats a package of dried oatmeal you heat for two minutes in the microwave.
