Meatless Mouthful–Tal Ronnen On Bacon Eating Vegans
Written by Vegetarian Star on June 23rd, 2011 in Chefs, Flexitarian, Food & Drink, Meatless Mouthful.
“So many people tell me, ‘I could be a vegan if it weren’t for bacon,’ and I tell them, ‘Be a “vegan” who eats bacon.'”
“Real militant vegans hate when I say that. But if you are cutting back on the amount of meat that you eat, you’re still doing something great for your health, for the planet and for the animal.”
—Tal Ronnen, in an interview with the LA Times. The article highlights the growing trend among culinary experts, vegetarians and animal activists accepting and promoting flexitarianism or vegetarianism that lets one slide here and there instead of mandating the adherence to strict eating patterns.

i think for some/many people to become full vegan is too dificult, so yeah, a meateater turning flexitarian like, four days a week veg and three dyas a week flex, is a very positive step.
The only thing that i really object to, is the misuse of the word veganism, NO, you can;t be a vegan and occasioanly “slip” up, because for a vegan there is nothing to slip up for.
Flexitarian okay, much respect, and positive, but don’t call it veganism. 😉
