The Food Network has once again shown love to vegan chefs.
This Sunday, April 10th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT the network will host its first ever donut making competition, Food Network Challenge: Donut Champions, that will feature a vegan donut bakery in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood, Mighty-O.
Mighty-O donuts will go hole to hole with three other competitors and Wallingford’s “New Day Northwest” got a sneak preview of the goodies that are expected to dunk the competition.
Mighty-O is a vegan and ethical eater’s dream come true. Besides keeping their donuts, glazes and icings free of animal products, the bakery also keeps out hydrogenated oils, artificial flavorings and colorings and chemical preservatives.
“We do not need any extra ingredients to make a delicious donut everyone can enjoy,” says Mighty-O on its menu.
So what goes into a Mighty-O donut? You’ll find quality ingredients like organic fruits, organic sugars, organic flours and organic oils in batches of Chocolate Raspberry, Good O’ Glazed, Pumpkin, Grasshopper, Glazed Chocolate, Lemon Poppy and more.
Watch the clip for a preview and tune in to the Food Network this weekend to cheer on your favorite animal-free dessert.
