Brian Greene Uses Vegan Cheese To Explain His Theories

Theoretical physicist Brian Greene has been making the rounds in the pop culture world promoting his latest book, The Hidden Reality, which discusses the possibility of alternate universes and parallel dimensions.
Stephen Colbert recently took a jab at Greene and Taco Bell when he hosted Greene on “The Colbert Report” and asked him if there was a universe where Taco Bell actually served real beef.
Greene, a vegan, who’s also served as science consultant for Hollywood, used his vegan lifestyle to sarcastically respond to Colbert and now, he’s using non-dairy cheese to explain his theory of multiple universes.
Greene’s work is sometimes called string theory. Is this string cheese theory?
During an interview with the Washington Post, Greene asks his host if he’s ever tried Whole Foods Pizza with vegan cheese.
“It doesn’t completely melt like real cheese, but it’s close enough that it brings back the memory,” Greene said.
Greene then explains that cheese is a good way to explain his theory, but vegan cheese may not work as well.
Or maybe the universes won’t melt together as they should either.
Multiple universes are like holes in Swiss cheese. As the cheese expands, the universes expand.
Maybe some of us can go live in the other universes. Maybe some of the universes could be vegan if we could find a vegan Swiss Cheese somewhere. That’s a hard one, though. For now, we’ll all have to settle on various vegan swiss cheese recipes online.
